ROCK SPRINGS – Jeanine Mary Pastor, 84, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River, Wyoming. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Pastor died following a lengthy illness.

She was born on September 15, 1928 in Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of the late James Byron Godfrey and Mildred Meyers Minert Godfrey. Mrs. Pastor attended schools in Hiawatha Camp, South Baxter and Rock Springs, Wyoming. She graduated in 1945 from the Rock Springs High School. Mrs. Pastor attended and graduated from the Sweetwater County Nursing School. She married Joseph Pastor on March 2, 1952 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Mrs. Pastor was a Registered Nurse employed by Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County and retired in December of 1987. She enjoyed caring for people and touched thousands of lives over her forty-five years as a nurse.

While not at work she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing Skip-Bo and having coffee with her friends. A true joy for her was spending time at their cabin in Boulder, Wyoming, especially while her grandchildren were there.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Joe Pastor of Rock Springs, Wyoming; son Jim Pastor and wife Carol of Edgemont, South Dakota; son Dave Pastor and wife Diane of Alta Loma, California, son Gary Pastor and wife Jana of Rock Springs, Wyoming; daughters Janet Boulette and husband Richard of Lander, Wyoming; daughter Cindy Hager and husband Ron of Thayne, Wyoming.

She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Jessica Pastor of Edgemont, South Dakota; grandchild Andrew Kemble; grandchild Alison Glover and husband Brad; and grandchild Greg Pastor, all of California; Ryan Pastor and wife Katie; Allyson Cross and husband Kreston, all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Lyndsay Boulette and Travis Boulette of Lander; Brandon Hager and Nick Hager of Thayne, Wyoming; two great-grandchildren: Liliya Cross and Noah Pastor of Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law Alex Pastor; sister-in-law Liz Jelaco and husband Mike Jelaco and Mary Kazola and husband Tony as well as brothers-in law Steve Pastor and John Pastor.

Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the First Congregational Church, 1275 Adams Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. The family of Jeanine Mary Pastor respectfully suggests that donations in her memory be made to Castle Rock Convalescent Center, 1445 Uinta Drive, Green River, Wyoming 82935.
