ROCK SPRINGS – After leading the Rock Springs Lady Tigers to another winning season on the basketball court and a trip to the state championships, Maggie Justinak will take the show to Casper as she will suit up for the Lady Thunderbirds next season.
Justinak led the Lady Tigers to an 18-7 record this past season, a 4A West regional title and a consolation championship at state. She was second in the state in scoring averaging 15.3 points a game. Justinak was also in the top ten in the conference in rebounds, assists and steals as a senior.
Justinak had several choices and decided on Casper.
“I decided on Casper because it felt like home,” she said. It has a beautiful campus and I love that they welcomed me as a part of the team right when I walked in.”
While she is excited about the challenge of college ball, she will take a lot from Rock Springs with her.
“I’m going to miss my team the most at RSHS,” Justinak said. “Every girl on the team has had an impact on my life on and off the court. That’s what I’ll miss the most.”
