Kurt Juel (February 26, 1953 – January 28, 2015)

ROCK SPRINGS — Kurt Juel, 61, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home. A long time resident of Rock Springs, Mr. Juel had been in ill health for the past several years.

He was born on February 26, 1953 in Rock Springs, the son of Eric and Pansy Juel.

Mr. Juel attended schools in Fort Collins, Colorado and Eden Valley, Wyoming. He was a 1971 graduate of Eden Valley High School. He also attended the University of Wyoming.

Mr. Juel was employed for twenty two years at FMC and retired in 2002 as a Lab Analyst.

His interests included scuba diving reading, and spending time with his family. He also liked working with silver and rocks.

Survivors include his mother Pansy Juel of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two brothers Norman Juel of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Greg Juel and wife Janet of Green River, Wyoming; two sisters Helen Grover and husband Stan of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Karen Hunter and husband Phil of Longmont, Colorado; six nephews Seth Juel of Rawlins, Wyoming, Hans Juel of Green River, Wyoming, Adam Grover and Isaac Grover both of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Eric Hunter and James Hunter both of Longmont, Colorado; five nieces Jenine Ritterodt of Marysville, Washington, Tina Skinner of Green River, Wyoming, Jody Elliston of Eauclaire, Wisconsin, Janice Grover -Roosa of Green River, Wyoming and Laura Hunter of Longmont, Colorado; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Eric Juel and his uncle Paul C. Juel, Jr. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3309 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to services.
