ROCK SPRINGS – With Regionals next weekend, the Rock Springs Lady Tigers made a statement at home in the last regular season race.
Several Lady Tigers posted season-best times including Erin Poyer who finished sixth overall. As a team, the ladies came in third. Evanston won the team title with 41 points followed by Green River with 58. Rock Springs was nine points behind the Lady Wolves with 67. Wyoming Indian, Lander and Lyman rounded out the team scores.
Poyer’s season-best time of 21:53.92 put her in sixth for the invite. She was around two minutes behind the top time set by Evanston’s Brittany Barton who finished in 20:10. Poyer led five, top-20 finishes by the Lady Tigers.
Hanna Crockett was solid again for Rock Springs as she posted another top ten. Her time of 22:21 put her in the tenth spot. Other top 20 times included Jasmine Rameriz who finished in 16th, Sydney Shannon in 17th and Scarlett Sisemore in 18th.
Besides Poyer, Brinlee Mcfarlane, Jessica Favela and Mary McLaren all ran season-best times on Friday.
