Lady Wolves Swim Team to Return Home as State Champions

GREEN RIVER — The Green River Lady Wolves Swimming and Diving team not only competed in the 2020-21 3A State meet, but they came home with first place and several individual state titles.

Green River competed against 12 other 3A schools and came out on top with a team score of 282, followed by Cody High School with 193, and Powell High School with 188.

The Lady Wolves celebration didn’t stop there. Several of their swimmers walked away as state champs after finishing first place in their events.

The Green River Lady Wolves 200-yard Medley Relay team consisting of Lauren Jensen, Hailey Uhrig, Lauren Lee, and Lilly Munoz dominated the competition taking first at state with a time of 1:50.24.

Lauren Jensen not only took first in the 50-yard freestyle, but also the 100-yard backstroke.

Lady Wolf Hailey Uhrig took first place in the 100-yard breaststroke.
