GREEN RIVER – It’s winter, which means cold and flu season is in full swing.  Learn some options for battling the cold and flu during an upcoming program at the Sweetwater County Library.

Mary Conley will be presenting the program Battling Colds and the Flu Naturally. Her program will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the library, 300 N. 1st East in Green River. Mary Conley is the owner of Earthwise Herbal and Massage in Green River.

This program is the first the library’s Let’s Get Metaphysical series. The series was organized by Reference Librarian Bianca Jorgnsen.

Topics described as “metaphysical” are those relating to abstract thought or the unknown. Many metaphysical subjects revolve around being, time, or substance.

The Let’s Get Metaphysical series will be held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month from January through May. Other upcoming dates and topics include:

  • Feb. 16: Dream Interpretation with Bianca Jorgensen
  • March 15: Reiki with the Rock Springs Reiki Group
  • April 19: Topic to be announced
  • May 17: Acupressure and Handwriting Analysis with Pete Applequist
