Leonard Parker Kiehm (October 12, 1947 - January 23, 2015)

ROCK SPRINGS — Leonard Parker Kiehm, 67, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at his home.  A life long resident of Rock Springs, Mr. Kiehm had been in ill health for the past several years.

He was born on October 12, 1947 in Rock Springs, the son of the late Louis and Helen Kiehm.

Mr. Kiehm attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1966 graduate of Rock Springs High School.  He also attended and graduated from Utah Technical College and received a degree in Heavy Duty Mechanics.

He was employed for many years as a Diesel Mechanic for Macy’s Truck Repair.

His interests included hunting, teaching hunter’s safety, sight seeing, making tamales, wood working and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include four daughters JoDee Putnins of Erie, Colorado, Laura Kiehm of Westminster, Colorado, Michelle DiTullio of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Cara Harrop of Polson, Montana; two step-daughters Mary Stassinos  of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Patsy Darwin of Douglas, Arizona;  three step-sons John Adams and Bobby Adams both of Gillette, Wyoming and Jack Adams of Rock Springs, Wyoming; four brothers Donald Kiehm, Louis Kiehm and Steve Kiehm all of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Doug Kiehm of Ellsworth, Maine; one sister Alicia Jones of Magna, Utah; seven grandchildren A.J.,  Julie, Madison, Ryan, Christina, Michael and Martin; several step-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother Rose Keefe and one son.

Cremation will take place and memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.   A celebration of life will be held following the memorial service at 1:00 P.M. at Community Center, 538 Pilot Butte, Rock Springs, Wyoming. If you are attending the services please bring stories to tell of your past experiences with Leonard.
