GREEN RIVER — Leotrice N. Lev, 92, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. A long time resident of Green River, Wyoming, Mrs. Lev died following a brief illness.

She was born on September 10, 1922 in Graceville, Minnesota, the daughter of David D. Weins and Ella Louise Quade.

Mrs. Lev attended schools in Duluth, Minnesota and was a 1940 graduate of the Central High School. She attended and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Special Education at Duluth State Teacher’s College.

She married George Andy Lev in Duluth, Minnesota on December 21, 1951 and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2014.

Mrs. Lev was employed as the first Special Education Teacher for School District #2 for many years and retired in 1982. She previously taught in Bagley, Proctor and Cromwell, Minnesota and Pinedale, Wyoming. She was also on the State of Wyoming Developmental School Board.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and St. Theresa’s Guild in Green River, Wyoming. A member of VFW Auxilary and Military Order of the Cootie Women’s Auxilary. A lifetime member of National Education Association Mrs. Lev was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader.

She had a special interest in wild flowers from her youth and was known for her dry flower arrangements called “Bit and Pieces of Wyoming.” She volunteered for decades at the St. John’s Episcopal Thrift Shop. Her other interests included floating rivers, snowmachining, four-wheeling, gathering flowers on the Wyoming Range and she loved to play games.

Survivors include two sons David Lev and wife Susie of Green River, Wyoming and Andy Lev and wife Kriste of Rock Springs, Wyoming,; one daughter Trice Ann Roberts and husband Edward of San Pablo, California; two brothers Allen Wiens and wife Louise of Duluth, Minnesota and Marvin Wiens and wife Doris of Lincoln, Nebraska; one sister Verdella Jacobson of Duluth, Minnesota; grandchildren Sierra Gray and husband Stuart of Baltimore, Maryland, Zach Roberts of San Pablo, California, Christy Lev of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Thomas Lev and wife Marcia of Casper, Wyoming and Peter Fleming of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Jeremy Winn and wife Heather of Gillette, Wyoming,Charles Winn of Greeley ,Colorado; great-grandchildren Meghan Brewer and Michael Lev both of Casper, Wyoming and Dominic Fleming of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Codie Winn , Wyatt Winn and Hayden Winn all of Gillette, Wyoming and Adam Winn of Greeley, Colorado; several nieces, nephews; three cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Andy Lev; her parents; one grandaughter Janice Marie Lev, one grandson Timotohy Alex Winn.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at 465 Nolan Street, Green River, Wyoming.

Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the St. John’s Episcopal Church, 350 Mansface, Green River, Wyoming.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
