Lincoln County Attorney Files First Degree Murder Charges in Death of Kay Ricks

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County Attorney Spencer Allred announced his office has filed First Degree Murder charges in the death of a Utah worker.

Allred announced in a press conference on Tuesday that the his office has officially filed murder charges on Flint and Dereck Harrison. Allred said investigators have determined Kay Ricks, a UTA worker who was taken by the Harrisons, was killed in Lincoln County.

Allred reported Ricks died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck and facial areas. Although he did not go into specifics about the evidence which ties the murder to Wyoming, he did say they have an object which matches the injuries found on Ricks.

The Harrison’s are currently in Utah facing charges on aggravated assault and kidnapping charges in Utah. Allred said it is his intention to bring the Harrison’s to Wyoming to face these charges.
