FARSON – A wreck near Farson on Friday claimed the life of one while injuring several others.
According to Wyoming Department of Transportation Public Relations Specialist Stephanie Harsha, a car traveling near milepost 33 on US Hwy 191 North was involved in a single car rollover at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Friday.
The vehicle left the highway and the driver over-corrected sending the vehicle over. Three people were ejected and another passenger was partially ejected during the accident.
A small child who was properly restrained in a child safety seat was unharmed.
Those involved in the wreck were transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. The driver, who was one of those ejected in the accident, died from his injuries. Harsha said she did not have an update on the condition of the others involved in the accident at this time.
The accident closed the highway for approximately an hour in both directions while the accident was being investigated and cleaned up.
The accident is still under investigation and no other details were released by officials at this time. The names of the victim was also not released at this time.
