Marilyn L. Thomas, 69, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Green River, Wyoming. She was a resident of Green River for 53 years and former resident of Colorado and New River, Wyoming. He preceded her in death June 13, 1991.Mexico.
She was born December 27, 1952 in Roswell, New Mexico; the daughter of William Harold Maines and Canellia Ellen Rawdon.
Marilyn attended schools in Green River, Wyoming.
She married Michael R. Thomas on August 8, 1969 in Green River, Wyoming.
Marilyn worked for retail most of her life until ill health forced her retirement in 2012, with Kmart for 12 years as an Assistant Manager and Pamida as her favorites.
She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren; crocheting; sewing; gardening; bowling and her furry pets Mugsy and Baby.
Marilyn loved collecting wind chimes and helping others.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan K. Crofutt and husband Thomas of Green River, Wyoming; son, Archie H. Thomas and wife Yvette of Santa Clara, New Mexico; her sisters, Melanie Blowers and husband John of Arlington Washington; Linda Hott and husband Shane of Cheyenne, WY; her grandchildren, Bret Crofutt; Kasey Crofutt; Jaydan Thomas; Alex Thomas; Veronica Gardea; Ashton Koenig; Jeremy Harmon; Jordan Harmon; and Danny Thomas; sister-in-law, Teddy Maines of Green River, WY; brother-in-law, Glenn Thomas and wife Rita of Marbleton, Wyoming; sister-in-law, Dorothy Walk and husband Lynn of Lyman, WY; brother-in-law, Don Thomas and wife JoAnn of Parachute, Colorado; brother-in-law, Burl Thomas and wife Nancy of Lake Wells, Florida; several nieces and nephews and longtime family friend Mildred Collier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Thomas, parents, Harold and Corny Maines, brother, Buddy Maines; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Leona Thomas; nephew, Chuck Blowers and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Union Congregational Church, 350 Mansface, Green River, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
