Sarah would rather root around a rural “junk pile” than visit a shopping mall…..crazy, right? Not when you have dream you’re building.
Sarah was born in Rock Springs and spent her childhood growing up in Green River. She graduated from Green River High School and then attended the University of Wyoming, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art. She worked as an Event Planner on the UW campus for four years just out of college, before moving to Big Piney and working as a Corporate Event Planner and Human Resources Manager. Sarah’s husband Levi was then transferred to Rock Springs for his job, so her family followed and now lives here….back to her roots!
Blessed with two special little boys, Sarah has had the privilege of being a “Domestic CEO” for the past six years, and stays very busy at home raising her sons. In the last 3 years since she’s been back, she has begun branching outside the home, and serves in some local volunteer groups. Sarah also offered her Event Planning services on a “small business” scale for several local events and weddings, but is now “shifting gears” and has been in the process of launching her one-gal-operation, “Sarah Berry Designs” since this past February.
“Sarah Berry Designs” is a small, Wyoming-based business founded on the idea of bringing beauty and charm to our everyday lives. Sarah’s unique, handmade items target shoppers interested in layering décor in to their homes that adds interest and also function to their space. Sarah loves the concept of repurposing old, “broken-in” items…..there’s almost nothing more exciting than bringing new life and beauty to something that most would consider to be “junk.” Rarely is there a Sunday drive where Sarah isn’t hauling home a beautiful chunk of weathered Wyoming “barn wood” or a rusty strip of wire….after all, there is truly beauty all around us.
Sarah believes in the handmade, especially in today’s hyper-technological age. She also believes in small business and in Wyoming, and finds herself with one foot in the past, with an eye on the future. “Creativity” is the brightest thread woven into her cloak, and her designs are “touched by time” and “seasoned with stories.” When you meet Sarah, you’ll meet a Wyoming girl interested in dreaming big, but also caring about even the smallest of details. Her favorite thing to ask new customers is, “what shall we create?”
So what are you waiting for? Let Sarah Berry help add a little beauty and creativity to your life.
