Tell us a bit about yourself…

I have had the great fortune of calling Green River my home for the past 38 years. I recently celebrated 23 years of marriage to my beautiful wife Angela.

I am a GRHS graduate and graduated with Honors from WWCC with an Associates of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance Technology and a Certificate of Supervision & Leadership. I am currently a Mine Maintenance Planner at Ciner.

I have had 30 very successful years working in the local Mining and Power Generation Industries. Much of my career has been in a leadership capacity.

I am heavily involved in our community and sit on the Green River Chamber Board. I am the president of the “Hole in The Wall Gang” and an active member of many clubs and committees.

I also received the Volunteer of The Year Award for 2017 from the Green River Chamber of Commerce. I am an avid fly-fisherman and enjoy hunting, mountain biking, camping and spending time with my dogs Gauge and Gunner.

What makes you the best choice for Green River City Council Ward II?

As an Industrial Maintenance Planner I have first-hand experience in the successful navigation of budget constraints and prioritizing expenditures.

I understand how difficult important financial decisions can be and feel that my perspective would be useful to the City of Green River. With the ever-growing needs of those in our community , fiscal accountability is paramount.

Doing more with less is simply a fact of life in today’s world and strong leadership that knows how to work together for our city is vital.

Like most small communities we face many obstacles with balancing land usage, the needs of the citizens and the money to make integral changes.

These are tough decisions and I am prepared to face these decisions to seek the best solution while keeping the citizens in mind.

What do you hope to accomplish in your first year as a councilman?

Realistically I feel that my first year will present a bit of a steep learning curve and give me a real idea of how council operates.

It will allow me to become familiar with current projects already underway or in the planning phases. I hope to increase awareness of our amazing surroundings to expand tourism and the revenue associated with it.

I also hope to increase awareness of the positive effects that volunteerism has on a community.

I hope to become a productive member of the council and a driving force to push for positive changes to make this city an even better place to live.

I know what this city is, I know what this city has been and I know what it can still become. Without the combined efforts of everyone on the council little progress will ever be realized.

I hope to earn the respect of the citizens of Green River in my first year and ensure that everyone knows that they can count on me to do what is best for Green River.
