ROCK SPRINGS — Rock Springs High School (RSHS) senior Alex Moeller signed her national letter of intent with the Carroll College Fighting Saints women’s soccer team on Thursday afternoon.
Moeller will join up with the Fighting Saints in August and serve as a goalie for the team. She’s grateful for the opportunity to live out her dream, which she has had since she was a little kid playing youth soccer.
“I can’t imagine myself not playing soccer. Ever since I was little it’s been a goal to play college soccer,” Moeller said.
Originally, Moeller said was looking at a Division I school in Florida, but due to COVID-19, trying out for the team didn’t work out. Thanks to the outside thinking of her mother, Carroll College became a possibility. She had family in Helena where Carroll College is located and a relative is a Fighting Saints football alumni.
After shooting a quick email to the team, Moeller was invited to visit campus and practice with the team. It was an instant match and she knew it was where she was meant to be.
Moeller said that her favorite memories from her time with the Tigers has been traveling with her friends and having fun.
She plans to become a nurse and is excited about the nursing program offered at Carroll College.
