ROCK SPRINGS – Nancy Lee Pivik, 74, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Deseret Health and Rehab in Rock Springs. She was a longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.
She was born on June 10, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Louise Lesko.
Mrs. Pivik attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1958 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She also attended Colorado State University.
She married Arthur P. Pivik in Rock Springs, Wyoming at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on September 18, 1960.
Mrs. Pivik was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxillary.
Her interests were home decorating, crafts and her jungle room. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Arthur P. Pivik of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sons DeWayne Pivik and wife Debbie of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Edward Pivik of Houston, Texas; one daughter DeAnna Hunter and husband Randy of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one half sister Alice Oak of Iowa; three grandchildren Branden Cheese, Kody Pivik and Erik Pivik.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Leon Lesko.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M.Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel on Thursday, one hour prior to the rosary and on Friday morning at the Vase Chapel, one hour prior to services.
