ROCK SPRINGS – Now the carnival has been loaded up and is moving on down the road, it is time to go back to business as usual. That means Concerts in the Park are back and a familiar band will get the party re-started.
On Tuesday, local band and Concerts in the Park alumni Nowhere Fast will take the Bunning Park Stage. They will bring a wide variety of music to concert goers with their classic rock driven sound.
Nowhere Fast formed around 15 years ago and have been playing locally at community events and clubs ever since. The have also released a c.d. and have it on sale at their shows. Follow Nowhere Fast on Facebook for details of upcoming shows. The band will be part of the Riverfest in Green River on Aug. 16.
The concerts will take a break on Wednesday but will return on Thursday with one of the favorite summer concerts of the year, the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) summer band concert.
The concert will feature some of the community’s youngest musicians. The band will showcase  their talents and growth for everyone to see. This is also right after the Rock Springs Farmer’s Market so residents can spend time at the market and then walk down the street to enjoy the concert.
All Concerts in the Park start at 7 p.m. at Bunning Park and are free. After this weeks concerts there are only two weeks left in the Concerts in the Park series.
While there is not a concert on Friday, the Rock Springs Parks and Recreation Department will be having Movies in the Park. This week’s movie will be Despicable Me 2 and, like the concerts, is free. The movie will begin between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
