ROCK SPRINGS — For those wanting the taste of some amazing pizza or a tall glass of ale at Old Chicago, they’ll have to wait until it reopens.

When SweetwaterNOW called Old Chicago Tuesday, March 31, the phone just rang and rang. It quickly became apparent that no one was going to answer, even at 11:14 am, which should be a busy time for them.

On Facebook the Old Chicago made the following statement:

To our loyal fan’s and guest’s we thank you for your support during these unprecedented times. Stay safe and stay healthy, we love and miss you all!
We will be back!”

After no one answered the phone, SweetwaterNOW sent a message to Old Chicago Rock Springs on Facebook Messenger, to which this automatic reply was given “Thanks for messaging us. We try to be as responsive as possible. We’ll get back to you soon!!”

It didn’t take long for Old Chicago to respond, and they stated “We will reopen as soon as the public safety order is lifted and we are allowed to do business as usual.”

Prior to closing, the restaurant did try curbside pickup and delivery, but neither option provided the results they needed to keep them profitable.

The following is the complete response SweetwaterNOW received from Old Chicago.

A quick search for the Rock Springs Old Chicago revealed a new change in hours. Closed: sums it up.
