GLENROCK — A 56-year-old Casper, Wyoming, resident died after a one-vehicle rollover near Glenrock yesterday.
On December 9, 2020, a fatal crash occurred around milepost 174 on Interstate 25 west of Glenrock, Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP)
At 7:13 pm, WHP troopers were notified of a one-vehicle rollover.
A 2002 Ford Ranger was headed northbound on Interstate 25 when the vehicle exited the roadway’s right side. The driver overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to enter the median before overturning.
The driver of the Ford has been identified as 56-year-old Casper, Wyoming, resident Anita J. Witten. Witten was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.
Driver inattention is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
This is the 121st fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020 compared to 142 in 2019, 108 in 2018, and 120 in 2017 to date.
