GREEN RIVER – Rodeo and Wyoming have been linked together since the very beginnings of the state. One of the top rodeos in the state is looking for help.
The Overland Stage Stampede is looking for interested residents who would like to be part of the committee. Meetings take place the first Thursday of the month at Green River City Hall at 7 p.m. Committee members are involved in the sponsorship drive, planning, marketing, and setup.
The Overland Stage Stampede is in its 29th year and is takes place annually in early June. It is a Intermountain Professional Rodeo Association event. Both the rodeo committee and the Green River Park and Recreation Department work together on the event.
At the end of August, the committee learned the Overland Stage Stampede Rodeo was awarded the 2015 IMPRA Rodeo of the year.
