Pamela Adele Jones (Sept. 27, 1947 – June 28, 2014)

ROCK SPRINGS – Pamela Adele Jones, 66, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home.  A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Jones died following a brief illness.

She was born on September 27, 1947 in Lebanon, New Hampshire the daughter of the late Wallace and Agnes Hill.

Mrs. Jones attended schools in Laramie and was a 1966 graduate of the Laramie High School.  She attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Nursing.

She married Roger Martin Jones on October 13, 1973 in Laramie, Wyoming.

Mrs. Jones was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Sage View Care Center from 1993 until 2011.

She was a member of 7th Day Adventist Church.

Her interest included her church, planning and decorating for many social events, dancing and exercising at the Rock Springs Civic Center.  She was also talented artist who enjoyed oil painting.

Survivors include her husband Roger M. Jones of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sons Sterling Jones and wife Marcquel of Frederick, Colorado and Lennox Jones and wife Jenny of Green River, Wyoming; two daughters Chrystal Flerchinger and husband Perry of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Tiffaney Sorensen and husband Khalid of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers Wallace Hill II of Berthoud, Colorado and Bruce Hill of Texas; six sisters Nadine Hill, Judy Stiehl and Carol Ryun all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Joy Salinas of Michigan, Loralyn Costigan of Casper, Wyoming and Candy Ricks of Goodland, Kansas; six grandchildren Rachel, Andrew, Holden, Taylin, Chris, and Nate; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, 1515 Edgar Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Vase Funeral Home, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and on Thursday at the church one hour prior to services.
