Pinedale Anticline Project Office Seeks Public Comments on Wildlife Reports

PINEDALE — A 30-day public comment period for six Pinedale Anticline Project Area reports prepared by the Pinedale Anticline Project Office began Jan. 7, 2016.

The reports include:

  • the 2014-2015 Greater Sage-Grouse annual report;
  • the 2015 Mule Deer Monitoring in the PAPA;
  • the 2015 White-Tailed Prairie Dog Monitoring in the PAPA;
  • the 2015 Pygmy Rabbit Monitoring in the PAPA;
  • the 2015 Pronghorn Migration Supplement for the PAPA;
  • and the 2013-2015 Sound Levels at Greater Sage-Grouse Leks in the PAPA.

The draft reports are posted on the PAPO web page.

The reports are prepared under a record of decision requirement for the Pinedale Anticline Oil and Gas development project to help determine if a mitigation response is required for pronghorn, mule deer, Greater Sage-Grouse, pygmy rabbit or white-tailed prairie dog.

Public comments on the reports will be accepted until Feb. 5, 2016.  Mail or deliver written comments to: Pinedale Field Office, 1625 W. Pine St., P.O. Box 768, Pinedale, WY 82941. Comments can also be emailed to egdecker@blm.gov or faxed to 307–367-5329.

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire comment – including your personal identifying information – may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.

While all public comments will potentially be considered as the basis for inclusion into a revised final report, please be advised the PAPO will not be responding to individual comments.
