UPDATE — According to Rocky Mountain Power crews, they located the open circuit breaker and determined it was undamaged. The crew closed the circuit and restored power at 6:25 p.m.

ROCK SPRINGS — A power outage is affecting 3,066 customers in Rock Springs. According to Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson Margaret Oler, crews are patrolling the area in search of an open circuit breaker.

A repair estimate will be available when the crews locate the issue, Oler said.

The area is experiencing an ongoing storm which is likely the cause of the outage.
