ROCK SPRINGS — According to a reader report, Yellowstone Drive north of Rock Springs is suffering a power failure. Rocky Mountain Power did not have any info on this reported outage.
They confirmed that two power outages were reported in Rock Springs in the early morning hours. The first outage occurred at 3:59 a.m. and impacted 895 customers. The outage was caused by a wire being pulled down due to a winter storm; power was restored at 5:58 a.m.
The second outage began at 4:47 a.m. and impacted 23 customers with power restored at 5:07 a.m. winter weather was also the cause of the second outage.
Heavy wet snowfall has caused many tree limbs to snap last night and this morning.
