Recycling for Students: Sweetwater One Foundation and Pacific Steel to help schools

ROCK SPRINGS — Sweetwater One Foundation and community partner, Pacific Steel & Recycling help schools in aluminum cans donation bringing awareness to Earth Day, April 22nd. The community is asked to help, by donating aluminum cans (please no trash) at Eastside Elementary (305 G Street, bin is off 2nd street) and Pilot Butte Elementary (1003 Summit Drive). The Recycle bins are located outdoors near each school’s high traffic entrances. The can donation continues now until April 30th. This effort is just one of many projects that Sweetwater One Foundation hosts to assist students of Sweetwater County School District No.1. Please be aware alcoholic beverage cans are only allowed to be donated in the outdoor recycle bins on site.

This is a collaborative effort between 5th and 6th grade Sweetwater One schools and the community. All proceeds will be split between Pilot Butte and Eastside to provide library books and playground equipment. Sweetwater One Foundation Executive Assistant, Teri Hansen, said, “ We are very excited to be collaborating with Pacific Steel and Recycling to help students at Eastside and Pilot Butte. Please donate your cans!”
