ROCK SPRINGS — Members of Uprising and Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office employees are inviting residents to attend a human trafficking awareness event.
In Her Shoes is an interactive, and immersive human trafficking awareness experience. The awareness event is scheduled to take place Wednesday, March 30, at Western Wyoming Community College atrium from 5-7:30 p.m.
Attendees will get the opportunity to virtually “walk a mile in the shoes” of a 14-year-old trafficking victim, Lisa, as she reflects on the events that led her where she is today, and why she cannot simply leave.
Uprising and the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to answer questions and provide resources.
This event is free and open to the public, ages 12 and up.
