GREEN RIVER — The 24-hour art competition Aug. 14-15 attracted 43 artists for the 2D and 3D divisions.
The artists, who came to the event from locations in Wyoming and Utah, started at 10 a.m. Aug. 14 and utilized a variety of media, including watercolor, clay, and oil paints. Outside of the 24-hour competition, artists participated in the Battle on the Green Friday afternoon, which featured artists painting in a head-to-head competition. Competitors had 5 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to create a piece that would be judged by a panel of judges and residents attending the event. The judges’ choice for Battle on the Green was Mercedes Negrete and the People’s Choice went to Emily Brady.
