ROCK SPRINGS – The Organization Committee of the Rock Springs Main Street/URA is pleased to announce their July Volunteer of the Month – Tess Swierczek. Tess worked as a summer intern for the Rock Springs Main Street/URA from May through July, volunteering over 150 hours of her time.
Tess is a Wyoming native, born and raised in Rock Springs. She graduated from Rock Springs High School in 2012, Western Wyoming Community College in 2014 and will complete her bachelor degree in both Elementary Education and Business from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah in November of this year.
Tess joined the Rock Springs Main Street/URA as an intern at the beginning of the summer. She also worked part-time for the City of Rock Springs at the Civic Center.
She is planning to attend graduate school. She has several schools selected and is in the process of applying for them at present time.
Tess has a full schedule ahead of her and is looking forward to the adventure and what all is ahead for her in life. She is very grateful to have had the experience of working with great people and projects with the Rock Springs Main Street/URA this summer.
The Rock Springs Main Street/URA is charged with the redevelopment of Downtown Rock Springs. As part of their mission, there are four standing committees – Economic Restructuring, Organization, Promotions and Design. The Organization Committee plays a key role in keeping the Board, Committees, staff and programs of work in good shape by attracting people and funds for the organization.
