Rock Springs Main Street/URA postpones opening of the Main Street Market and Bank Court Ribbon Cutting

ROCK SPRINGS – In order to focus on the clean-up efforts in Downtown Rock Springs, and with more rain predicted today and tomorrow, the Rock Springs Main Street/URA is postponing the opening of the Main Street Market and Bank Court Ribbon Cutting.

“With city staff, volunteers and business owners working double time to clean up and prepare for the predicted rains, it was the best option,” Main Street manager Chad Banks said.

The inaugural Main Street Market and Bank Court Ribbon Cutting will now take place NEXT Thursday, July 16. The market will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on South Main Street and the ribbon cutting will take place in Bank Court at 4:30 p.m. The Main Street Market is the oldest and most established farmer’s market in Rock Springs. It will feature local and regional vendors with fresh fruit, vegetables, bath & body products and homemade crafts.

Anyone is welcome to attend and those with their own mats are encouraged to bring them, although they will have a few extra mats for those wanting to try yoga. Organizers are also planning to have live music at each market, also in Bank Court.

The Main Street Market is produced by the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) and the City of Rock Springs. The Main Street Market is produced by the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) and the City of Rock Springs.
