ROCK SPRINGS — Rock Springs Police Department conducted an unannounced drug dog search at Rock Springs Junior High resulting in a “no hit” result (meaning no drugs found). The partnership between Sweetwater No. 1 and the police department has led to several searches each school year, conducted at random by the police. Principal Tina Johnson along with her faculty and staff are pleased with the result of the search and look forward to continued success. The drug dog search was conducted on Tuesday April 1st mid-morning at the school.
Principal Johnson stated, “We appreciate the Rock Springs Police Department for going out of their way to ensure our school is safe and drug free”. Furthermore, Sweetwater No. 1 school district strives to be a drug free district across the board and is delighted to share that RSJH produced a drug free search.
