Rock Springs to Host All-State Music Conference

ROCK SPRINGS — Rock Springs High School will be hosting the WHSAA/WMEA All-State Music Honor Ensembles and Conference next week.

The event will feature an opening night concert on Sunday, January 16, at 7:30 featuring the RSHS Symphonic Band and the Wyoming Jazz Educators Association Big Band. This concert will take place in the high school auditorium.

The WMEA will host its annual awards banquet the following evening at the Holiday Inn beginning at 7 p.m. Then on January 18 the All-State Orchestra, Choir, and Band will perform at 7 p.m. in the RSHS main gym.

This event will bring 200 educators and 400 students from around the state to Rock Springs. The last time Rock Springs was selected to host this event was in 2008.

Students will be rehearsing around RSHS while the teachers are in workshop sessions throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday.
