

ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Police Department has issued a press release announcing the arrest of two Rock Springs women after the department served separate warrants.
According to Chief Dwane Pacheco the Rock Springs Street Crimes Unit executed two narcotics related search warrants:
On March 5, 2015 at approximately 1440 hours Rock Springs Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a narcotics related search warrant at 2475 Cascade #123.
The narcotics search warrant was for the person of Courtney Westby who is 28 years old and her residence of 2475 Cascade #123.
Contact was made with Westby and her juvenile children during the execution of the search warrant.
A search of the residence yielded marijuana, methamphetamine, and devices for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine.
Westby was placed under arrest and transported to the Sweetwater County Jail where she was charged with possession of marijuana, use of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, use of methamphetamine, and child endangerment.
On March 7, 2015 at approximately 1500 hours Rock Springs Street Crimes Unit executed a narcotics related search warrant at 720 5th Avenue West.
The narcotics search warrant was for the person of Amber Garcia who is 28 years old and her residence of 720 5th Avenue West.
Contact was made with Garcia and her juvenile children during the execution of the search warrant.
A search of the residence yielded methamphetamine and devices used for smoking methamphetamine.
Garcia was placed under arrest, and transported to the Sweetwater County Jail where she was charged with possession of methamphetamine, use of methamphetamine, and child endangerment.
The Rock Springs Police Department reminds citizens that all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
