ROCK SPRINGS – While there are the normal alcohol malt beverage and liquor catering permit requests, there are several other items involving alcohol and the related establishments in the city.
Every year, the Rock Springs City Council reviews all liquor licenses in the city. They include microbrewery, winery, restaurant, retail, limited, bar and grill and resort liquor licenses. A public hearing will take place on the licenses and later in the agenda, they will take action on the licenses.
If approved, the period the licenses will run is from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016. At the end of the period, the council will do its annual review.
Another annual action by the council is the approval of the dates for this year’s all nighters. This year’s requests were made by the BareBack Saloon and Killpeppers nightclub. The days being requested are March 14, August 1, October 31 and December 31.
The final actions involving alcohol are a malt beverage permit and a liquor catering permit. Myers Corporation is requesting a malt beverage permit for March 14 for the Rocky Mountain Mixed Martial Arts event at the Sweetwater Events Complex. If approved, the time the permit will be good for is from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The second is a request from Black Rock, Inc. for a liquor catering permit for the Samantha Cook wedding and reception on March 13. The event will take place at the old Legion Hall at 543 Broadway and the time request is from noon to 11:30 p.m.
