RSHS Track and Field Shows Strong Performance at Ted Schroeder Invite

ROCK SPRINGS – Rock Springs High School Track and Field hosted the annual Ted Schroeder Invite over the weekend at Tiger Stadium on Saturday.

The Tigers added a successful weekend to their resume, finishing first as a team in the boys division and second in the girls division.

For the girls side, Dulce Olivas finished first in the 100 and 200 meter dash. In the 400 meter dash, Aubrielle Maes found herself a second place finish.

The girls relay teams took first in 4×100, second in the 1600 sprint medley and third in the 4×400.

As for the field events, the Lady Tigers took first in the long jump thanks to Brynn Bider. In shot put, Timberly Hamblin took home fourth place followed by teammate Justice Battle in fifth.

On the boys side, Andrew Skorcz and Charles Fossey led the way on the track for the Tigers. Skorcz finished first in the 100 and 200 meter dash while Fossey claimed first in the 1600 meter run.

Rock Springs’ relay teams took first in the 1600 medley relay and second in the 4×100.

In field events, Porter Chubb finished second in the high jump while teammate Goodness Okere took second in both the long jump and triple jump. Maddix Homes tied for second in pole vault.

As for throwers, Colton Carlsen took home first in both shot put and discus.
