ROCK SPRINGS — Residents who are headed out to Wyoming’s Big Show this week will want to pay special attention to the changes in traffic around the Sweetwater County Events Complex.

The traffic route changes have already started and will continue nightly through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. During the fair, there will be a large amount of parking available to those attending. Paid parking will be available at the North Gate, along with handicapped and VIP parking. However, it is recommended that fairgoers use the Grandstand Parking area where it is free parking, according to the release.

RSPD Chief Dwayne Pacheco would also like to remind everyone to slow down in these areas. Whenever you have a mix of children, carnivals, excitement, and vehicles there is a potential for an accident. Pacheco also wanted to remind residents that if they are drinking to do so responsibly, and don’t drink and drive. The RSPD encourages residents to call a cab or have a designated sober driver.
