ROCK SPRINGS — Sage Elementary families headed to the Sweetwater Events Complex Wendesday evening for carnival games. Activities included bobbing for donuts, fishing for ducks, and diving down bouncy house slides.

According to Parent Teacher Organization President Natalie Powell, the carnival raised just over $4,000 for the  Sage Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, a group that funds teachers’ needs in the classroom and other events.

The PTO purchased a new swing set and a “buddy bench” for the playground last year.

“The buddy bench last year was a way to foster friendship on the playground. The kids are encouraged to invite anyone sitting on the bench into their games,” said Powell. They also fund book giveaways and make purchases for each grade, she said.
