ROCK SPRINGS — Meal price increases will be a topic for the Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees to consider during its meeting Monday evening.
The board will consider increasing the costs of several options throughout the school district, including breakfasts and lunches, though certain options would see no price change.
The price for breakfasts for elementary schools, the daycare, and preschool would increase from $2.10 to $2.25, while the costs for junior high and middle school breakfasts would increase from $2.30 to $2.50. High school breakfasts would increase from $2.50 to $2.75 and adult breakfasts costs would increase from $3 to $4. The cost for a reduced price breakfast would remain 30 cents.
Lunch price increases would see lunches for elementary school, daycare, and preschool students increasing from $3.25 to $3.50. Middle school and junior high lunches would increase from $3.50 to $3.75, with high school lunches increasing from $3.75 to $4. Adult lunches would increase from $5 to $6, with reduced price lunches remaining at 40 cents.
Snacks at the preschool and daycare would increase from $1 to $1.25, while the reduced price for snacks would remain 15 cents.
