Spring Storm Forecast to Make Driving Hazardous through Saturday

Enjoy the nice weather while you can, because road conditions are expected to get much worse beginning tonight and through the weekend with a spring storm heading for the Cowboy State.

CHEYENNE — Wyoming residents can expect a spring storm to create hazardous driving conditions beginning tonight and lasting through at least Wednesday.

The latest Wyoming Department of Transportation Road Impact Forecast shows that dry weather today will slowly give way to heavy, slushy snow tonight. That front end of this storm will impact much of the I-80 corridor from Rock Springs to Cheyenne. South Pass will also experience icy roads and reduced visibility through tomorrow afternoon.

Medium impacts are expected along I-80 and I-90 with heavy impact along I-25 between Gillette and Casper. A larger storm front is forecast to move into the Cowboy State later into the week and over the weekend.
