Steve Taylor (Nov. 28, 1959 – June 9, 2014)

ROCK SPRINGS – Steve Taylor, 54, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 in Ogden, Utah. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mr. Taylor passed away suddenly.

He was born on November 28, 1959 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the son of John W. Taylor and Norma M. Hastings Taylor.

He attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the Class of 1978.

Mr. Taylor worked various jobs in the oil and gas industries.

His interests included hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors and spending time with his nieces.

Mr. Taylor was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Survivors include his mother Norma Taylor of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother Keith Taylor of Laramie, Wyoming; three sisters Nancy Parker and husband Paul, Carol Gillespie and husband Charlie and Janice Price and husband Chuck, all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two aunts Shirley Nimmo and Mary Ann Hastings; five nieces Caitlin Rodiek, Jenny Locke, Kelsey Parker, Karen Bear, Ashley Taylor and two nephews John Taylor and Jordan Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his father John Taylor, Jr., one brother John Taylor; maternal grandparents Glen and Lena Hastings, paternal grandparents, John and Jesse Taylor and his faithful companion “Rusty”.

Following cremation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Vigil Service with Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the church. Friends may call one hour prior to the rosary and one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, 802 Thompson Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.

The family of Steve Taylor will be receiving relatives and friends at 1019 Laramie, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
