Strong Winds and Snow Forecast Through Wednesday But Warming on Christmas

Watch for moderate to heavy snow and strong winds along the I-80 corridor for the next several days, according to the latest WYDOT Road Impact Forecast.

CHEYENNE — A storm front creeping into northern Wyoming this afternoon will bring extremely strong winds and blow over risks along Interstate 80 through tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

The storm is not expected to bring heavy snow, but colder temperatures and wind gusts up to 65 miles per hour will make driving dangerous along the I-80, I-90 and I-25 for the next few days.

The good news: conditions are expected to improve by late Thursday and into Christmas Day. The Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Road Impact Forecast through Wednesday can viewed in its entirety below.
