ROCK SPRINGS – Susan Joan Lininger, 71, of Rock Springs, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her home. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming and former resident of Wilcox, Missouri, Mrs. Lininger passed away suddenly.
She was born on June 28, 1944 in South Hampton, England, the daughter of James Surface and Dorothy Batchelor Surface.
Mrs. Lininger attended schools in Burlington Junction, Missouri.
She married Harley Lininger in Hiawatha, Kansas on December 13, 1962 and he preceded her in death in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 7, 2015.
Survivors include John Lininger and wife Sandi, DeWayne Lininger and Troy Halstead, all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters Barbara Noland and husband Tom of Maryville, Missouri, Dottie Roy and husband Ron of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Mindy Sticken of Pickering, Missouri; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harley Lininger; one brother John Batchelor and one son-in-law David Davison.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call one prior to services. Graveside Services and Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore, Missouri will be held at a later date.
