Sweetwater County Donates Nearly $39K on WyoGives Day

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County residents stepped up to donate nearly $39,000 last Wednesday during the statewide WyoGives fundraising event.

Unofficial totals show that Sweetwater County raised $38,847.75 for a variety of non-profit organizations including Hospice, YWCA, the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Foundation, The Boys’ and Girls’ Club, and The United Way.

This year marked the third time this 24-hour, one-day fundraising event took place in Wyoming. According to the WyoGives website, the event raised more than $3 million dollars on July 13.

That number surpasses the total funds donated during the first two years of the organization’s event combined. Benchmark totals in dollars ($3,160,983), donors (5,635), gifts (9,247), and organizations (256) were all achieved during the 2022 campaign.

WyoGives is an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, the state association for charitable nonprofits. Its mission is to represent the collective voice of the Wyoming charitable nonprofit sector and bring best practices, resources and support to the nonprofit community.
