SWEETWATER COUNTY – No injuries were reported in a truck fire on Interstate 80 on Monday morning.

Crews from Sweetwater County Fire District No. 1 were dispatched to a report of a pickup truck on fire at milepost 143 I-80 eastbound at 6:10 a.m. Fire District No. 1 crews responded with one truck and extinguished the fire. Sweetwater Medics and Wyoming Highway Patrol were also on scene.

According to Fire District No. 1, the truck was a total loss. However, the driver was able to disconnect the trailer being towed and pull it away from the pickup prior to the arrival of first responders. The cause of the blaze is undetermined.
