SWEETWATER COUNTY — The United States National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for wind and snowy conditions in Sweetwater County today.

According to the statement, Sweetwater County residents can expect additional snow accumulations of 1-2 inches today. West and northwest winds gusting between 35-45 mph are also expected to hit the area, which may lead to areas of blowing snow.

Rock Springs resident Amanda Dusel has already reported damage to her shed, which blew off of its foundation this morning around 7 a.m. in the Desert Village area. Dusel said the nails were ripped right out of the boards.
