Tata Chemicals Celebrates International Literacy Month at the Lyman Branch Library

LYMAN — Tata Chemicals commemorated International Literacy Month by hosting a Reading Celebration event at the Lyman Branch Library on Friday, September 12.

Over 30 volunteers from Tata Chemicals joined special guest Daniel Tiger from the hit PBS Kids show, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” to participate in a “Read-A-Loud” with the children. Tata Chemicals donated  420 new books 180 were distributed to the participating children and the remaining books were donated to the Library’s collection.

This event is one of many volunteering activities being carried out by Tata group companies throughout September. This month-long initiative is part of the group’s “Tata Engage” campaign, which aims to encourage Tata employees to get involved in the community where they live and work.
