TaTa Chemicals Performing Mandatory Temperature Screenings at Local Plant

TaTa Chemicals has begun temperature screenings at their plant east of Green River to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

GREEN RIVER — Tata Chemicals has started temperature screenings at its plant east of Green River today. The company has release information about the screenings in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The company statement appears below.

“Tata Chemicals Soda Ash Partners (“Tata”) has been closely monitoring the evolving novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and has been implementing protocols to reduce exposure of its employees and maintain core manufacturing operations. As of today, Monday, March 23, there have been no reported cases of (COVID-19) among our workforce in Wyoming.”

“As part of our comprehensive efforts to protect human health, today the company began performing a temperature screening process for all employees, visitors, contractors and vendors before they enter the Green River manufacturing site.”

This screening is being performed by certified EMT’s. The screening is mandatory; anyone refusing to participate is not allowed to enter the facility.

“Tata will continue to closely monitor the situation with COVID-19. We will continue to heed the recommendations and instructions from the CDC, and implement additional measures as required in the interest of keeping our employees safe. Accordingly, our referenced protocols are subject to revisions or changes at any time.”
