GREEN RIVER — A little rain Tuesday afternoon could not keep Green River and Rock Springs off the tennis courts.
Green River came away with victories in both team duals in Green River, defeating Rock Springs 4-1 in the girls match and 4-1 in the boys match. The girls competed at the Green River High School courts, while the boys played at Lincoln Middle School.
In the girls match, Green River won both singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.

Rylin Arnell opened with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Rock Springs’ Addie Aanerud at No. 1 singles. Sydney Lopez followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Olivia Davies at No. 2 singles.
Green River’s Brynley Beutel and Meghan Thomas battled through three sets at No. 1 doubles, defeating Tahlia Knudsen and Emery Punches-Mickelson 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Rock Springs earned its lone team point at No. 2 doubles, where Sophia Pugmire and Braelyn Harris defeated Bianca Maez and Taylor Kendall 6-3, 6-4. Green River’s Emma Johnson and Katelyn Tanner closed out the girls’ doubles matches with another three-set victory, coming back to defeat Ema Wigg and Mekemma Wren 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.
The Green River boys also finished with a 4-1 victory, winning both singles matches and two doubles matches.

Lucas Arnold defeated Matthew Wren 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Kaiden Olsen earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Clint Copsey at No. 2 singles.
The No. 1 doubles match was another three-set battle. Quentin Bundy and Jacob Britton defeated Dax Ogden and Gentry Swafford 7-6 (2), 5-7, 6-4. Blaise Taylor and Lucas Hokanson added a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Trevor Thompson and Aven Conover at No. 2 doubles. Rock Springs’ Noah George and Kota Thompson provided the Tigers’ lone team point in the boys match, defeating P.J. Lovato and Kyler Steiss 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (3) at No. 3 doubles.
