Tony Yerkovich Announces Candidacy for Sweetwater County Treasurer

Tony Yerkovich spent nearly 30 years teaching Business in Sweetwater County School District No. 1 and has been the treasurer for three different non-profit organizations.

ROCK SPRINGS —Retired educator and current Rock Springs High School assistant football coach and assistant junior high track coach Tony Yerkovich has announced his intention to run for Sweetwater County Treasurer.

Yerkovich is a lifelong resident of Rock Springs and hopes to utilize his experience as a former Business Educator and treasurer for three different non-profit organizations in the position.

He taught as a Business teacher in Sweetwater County School District No. 1 from 1993-2021. Yerkovich also served as the Rock Springs Amateur Hockey Association Treasurer from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to that role, Yerkovich was the Executive Treasurer for the Wyoming Coaches Association and Wyoming Coaches Foundation from 2015 to 2019. He is the proud father of three young men: Riley, 30; Kyler, 27; and Drew, 23.

“I look forward to the opportunity in serving the residents of Sweetwater County,” Yerkovich said in his announcement.
