ROCK SPRINGS – Nearly 40 community banks and credit unions across the country will partner up as a part of “Take Back Your Banking” initiative to raise awareness around how they fuel local economies and encourage local residents to consider taking back their banking from the megabanks. In partnership with Kasasa.com, a resource for free checking accounts and monthly rewards offered at community banks and credit unions, these local financial institutions will showcase the many benefits they offer.
Trona Valley Federal Credit Union will be taking over local gas stations and personally pumping $20 to the first 200 people as a part of the nationwide “Take Back Your Banking” initiative. The event takes place Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the following locations.
