ROCK SPRINGS – Don’t forget, there are only two more Family Fun Runs this summer. The next on will be this Monday.
The City of Rock Springs will sponsor a color run on Monday, August 4th. Registration will begin at 6 pm at Pilot Butte Middle School, with the event starting at 6:30 p.m.
During this event, participants are encouraged to wear a white cotton t-shirt, so that the color being thrown on them will remain on the shirt as a reminder after the event. The colored dust will eventually wash off, but it is recommended to wear sunglasses or swim goggles, shake all the color out of your hair before washing and don’t wear your best clothes or shoes.
This event is a fun, low-key 5k run/walk that is safe and social. Don’t worry, walking is encouraged, too.
The Rock Springs Civic Center Programs Department are cautioning parents about the run. The Department said parents should take caution when bringing small children to the event. Due to the colored dye that participants will be showered with, it may be best to keep the little ones at home for this one.
The final Family Fun Run will be Aug. 18 and will be a glow stick run.
