ROCK SPRINGS – Western Wyoming Community College will offer a travel course next summer that features a two-week trip to the North African nation of Morocco from June 17-30. The two-credit course, Field Studies in Humanities: Morocco, will be taught by Instructor of Composition Lora Meredith.

Students will tour the Moroccan cities of Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakesh, Meknes, and Fes. Along the way they will visit universities, museums, palaces, and many historical and cultural sites.
The trip is sponsored by Western Wyoming Community College and the Arab American Foundation for Multicultural Education and Students’ Understanding (ARAMFO). ARAMFO seeks to build a stronger bridge of understanding between the Arab world and the United States through educational opportunities.
Cost of the trip is $3,900 plus tuition. This price includes round-trip airfare from Rock Springs to Morocco and all lodging, meals, tour fees, etc. Participants do have the option of taking the class without credit, in which case no tuition will be required.
A $300 deposit will be due as early as Jan. 14, with the balance due by April 12.
